Full description This project was established to document the involvement of the Australian Science Archives Project (ASAP) and subsequent organisations with the records of pastoralist and conservationist Dewar Wilson Goode (1907-2002). Dewar Goode was a pastoralist and conservationist who played an important role in soil conservation and management of farming land in Australia. In mid 1990, the R. E. Ross Trust made a grant to the Australian Science Archives Project to enable work to begin on the processing of the records of Dewar Goode, which consisted of over 50 archives boxes. The records transferred were fully listed and the draft guide to the collection completed. The Dewar Goode Archival Collection has been deposited with the State Library of Victoria. This collection and the corresponding Guide is an invaluable resource for anyone interested in the history of land management and conservation in Australia.
