These registers relate to officers who left the Police Department 1966-77, some having joined as early as 1927. The registers provide details of an officer's service and record details of: appointment and promotions; personal description (including previous calling); examinations; medical history; uniforms and equipment issued; special services and duties; complaints of misconduct or commendations; and special abilities or qualifications. The registers relate not only to Police Officers but also to Junior Trainees, Cadets, Special Constables, Trackers, Matrons and Parking Police. (11/11767-77). 11 boxes.
