The collection comprises transcriptome, amplicon and genomics data generated for various plant species using next generation sequencing tools. The data in this collection is an outcome from various current and past research projects, and is an important collection of genetic data for various plant species. The data provides an important insight into the genes and various snapshots of how genes behave. This data could be used for research on conservation, phylogeny, and identification of crucial genes for use in plant breeding. The data was generated from plant species important to Australia for food and fuel use, for use in conservation, and in increasing productivity via breeding. Species included are rice, macadamia, wheat, eucalypt, and sugarcane.
