Full description
This dataset contains three separate experiments conducted between 2013 and 2015 that phenotype wheat genotypes for their resistance to the root-lesion nematode (P. neglectus). All experiments were grown in glasshouses located at the Leslie Research Facility, Toowoomba QLD using the methods described by Thompson et al. (2020) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/31680650. The primary data metric is P. neglectus/kg of oven-dry soil and root (PNKG) with supporting metrics: tiller number (Tiller), plant height in cm (Height), plant maturity on Zadoks scale (Maturity), plant top dry weight in grams (TDWT), soil moisture content per cent (SMC) and trial notes. Environmental/Experimental Conditions: Air and soil temperature: 20–25°C Bottom watering system: 2 cm tension Data File: "Sheedy USQ wheat Pratylenchus neglectus resistance data 2001_24 standardised for GRDC.csv". Content: Standardised raw data from glasshouse experiments assessing wheat resistance to P. neglectus. Processing: Data compiled using Microsoft 365 Copilot GPT-4 Turbo. Quality assurance: CV and heritability calculated; genotype rankings validated. Standards: Resistance standard genotypes included. Principal variable: PNKG = P. neglectus per kg oven-dry soil and roots (loge(x) transformed). Other variables: UID, Exp, Year, Orig_Genotype, Exp_UID, Col, Row, Block, TRT, Genotype, Crop, Tiller, Height (cm), Maturity (Zadoks scale), TFWT (g), TDWT (g), TMC (%), SMC (%). Missing codes: NASpatial Coverage And Location
