Brief description

This dataset contains the petrol stations in Australia.

Lineage

The petrol stations were digitized in 2011/2012 from the library of imagery held within Geoscience Australia. Imagery used ranged from 0.15m resolution aerial photos to 2.5m resolution satellite images. Source Information: The primary information sources used to identify and attribute the petrol stations were the owner/operator websites. In most instances, the websites provide a location list or map application. The locations were then validated against imagery.
