Full description
People play Internet games for a variety of reasons but the motivations and outcomes of this gameplay are not always 'healthy'. Utilising a mixed methods approach, this research will help to better understand the pathways to problematic and non-problematic gameplay. With the aim of developing a conceptualisation of 'healthy gaming', this research will help to prevent negative outcomes and promote adaptive engagement with Internet games and help to refine public health agendas and, in turn, this will help to avoid the stigmatisation of non-problematic Internet gameplay.Issued: 2025-07-11
