Full description

These lists relate to the following ships: Abdalla, Bangalore, Hanover, Lord Burleigh, Marchioness of Londonderry, and Nimroud. In addition to details of payments made by the immigrant and the Society towards the cost of the passage, names of immigrants, ages and occupations are recorded.

Printed indexes to these records were published. This series is indexed in Guide to the State Archives of New South Wales No.29: Immigration: Index to Assisted Immigrants Arriving Sydney and Newcastle 1844-59 (1987, in 3 volumes) (hardcopies available in Western Sydney reading room). Their content is included in the online Assisted Immigrants Index.
