Full description Construction of larger span tunnels is inevitable by the rising demand of infrastructure in a dense environment. Appropriate tunnel design is compulsory within variation of tunnel geometry and geological condition in different location. This will also influence on the support system requirement during the excavation. This research aims to study the support system development in road tunnels by parametric study, design, and modelling with consideration on tunnel size, geometry, and geology.
