Animals received an experimental vaccine at week 0, 8, and 17, and were challenged with a GAS M1 strain 5448 intranasal infection at week 20. PBMCs were collected under anaesthesia (ketamine; 10mg/kg) at weeks -1, 0, 8, 9, 17, 20, and 25. These samples were collected into Sodium Citrate Vacutainer CPT tubes (Becton Dicksinson), and frozen as per standard protocol.
