Full description

Premises (other than approved premises) on, or in, which trade waste is created are required to be registered with the Authority. Each applicant is required to specify the type of premises operated (eg. hospital, factory, etc.), the nature of the waste generated, and how the waste is to be collected. When approved by the Authority, a certificate of registration is issued for a period of one year.

An applicant for the renewal of a certificate is required to submit a further application. On being approved, a new certificate of registration is issued bearing the same certificate number as originally issued. The certificate of registration is not transferable and should it not be renewed for any reason the certificate number becomes redundant and a new number issued when a formal application is received.

The "P" files contain the application forms, copies of the certificates of registration issued, any inspection reports and associated papers and correspondence.
