These files contain correspondence relating to administrative matters, trade and tourism, sale of liquor, perpetual leases and permissive occupancies, conservation, and the supply of services.SR Document Nos.120-122 consist of three 1923 drawings of the War Memorial proposed for Lord Howe Island. SR Document No.120 shows a water coloured sketch of the site and environs of the proposed war memorial, a front view and plan of the memorial. SR Document No.121 is a water coloured sketch of a proposed memorial featuring a World War I machine-gun mounted above a brass plate listing those residents of Lord Howe Island who served and died during the war. SR Document No.122 is a full sized water coloured plan of the name plate.
