The series comprises architects' plans for proposed hotels, and plans for alterations and additions to existing hotels, that were submitted for approval to the Singleton Licensing Court.
The plans include elevations, sections, and floor plans. Many are coloured, using water colour tints, although there are also non-coloured plans and a blueprint. Most plans include details of the name of the hotel, its location, name of the architects, type of plan, scale, and date.
The plans are arranged alphabetically by hotel name.
