Full description

These volumes contain almost the whole of the outward correspondence of the Civil Service Board. The exception is the missing volume containing copies of letters sent between 14 March 1894, and the Board's dissolution in 1896. The letters are addressed to Government Departments, and individuals. They cover all aspects of the functions of the Board with the exception of formal letters dealing with the classification of officers in 1885 and possibly other formal letters of acknowledgement - copies of letters.
