The papers were the personal files of Mr Justice McClemens and they are in the same order in which they were taken from his chambers. They reflect his involvement with many organisations, both local and international, which work with crime prevention and the treatment of offenders. The papers comprise correspondence, reports, conference proceedings, printed handbooks etc., seminar papers and working papers. Sometimes copies of criminal transcripts from cases heard in the Supreme Court of New South Wales are included in the files as samples of particular criminal litigation.
