Pamphlets, brochures, circulars, etc., forwarded to the Department from various bodies. Some of these are: Contemplated housing service in Australia, 1915, containing sketches, specifications of houses, compiled by J.C. Eldridge of the Labour Exchanges Branch of the Department; Building control regulations and orders, 1945-46, containing sample copies of blank forms of applications and related matter; quality control of materials and manufactured products as a wartime aid to production, 1942-46, containing printed reports and related correspondence about British attempts at quality control; Chain Store Inquiry, 1935-37, containing pamphlets and related reports on the Inquiry; Submissions on Cost of Living, 1929, containing statistical aids to the assessment of the varying submissions before the Industrial Commission on the cost of living; and Coal Board orders, 1918-27, containing printed orders and regulations of the Coal Board and of the Northern Collieries Association.
