Full description
These are office copies of the printed reports of the Agent to the Governor, which contain both the report on all aspects, including the political aspects, of the immigration scheme in New South Wales; and also the statistical appendices to the reports. They also contain the more important printed Government notices, regulations, and Select Committee reports and minutes about immigration. Some of these are annotated.
The later reports are rather routine, but the early Agents, especially J.D. Pinnock Esq., used his report to defend his quite strong opinions about, and quite definite interferences with, the conduct of the immigration scheme.
