This typescript report was presented to The Honourable W. Sheahan as Minister for Health, 24 September 1963, and reports on the following matters:

i. The Annual Conference of the British Institute of Hospital Administrators and the associated Fourth International Hospital Equipment and Medical Services Exhibition held at "Olympia", London from 27 to 31 May 1963.

ii. The Conference of the International Hospital Federation held at Paris from 8 to 16 June 1963.

iii. Visits to selected hospitals, governmental and voluntary hospital agencies in England, Scotland, France, Switzerland, Western Germany, Holland, Belgium and the United States of America, and studies of present day overseas hospital practices.
