Full description

This is a register of government medical officers and vaccinators and of vaccinators only, arranged according to the police district in which they operated. Each page has columns for name, date of appointment, resignation, death or abolition of office, record number, and remarks. The volume was written up in the late 1880's or early 1890's to serve as a record of all previous appointments (whether still operative or not) and of future ones.

Arrangement is by the town on which the medical officer's district was based, and where there are several of these districts in one police district they are grouped together under that district.

At the front there is a three part index showing, under each letter of the alphabet, the police districts, the districts of government medical officers and vaccinators, and the names of government medical officers and vaccinators recorded in the volume.
