Full description

This file consists of reports in a standard form by hospitals of deaths of women during or after child-birth, or following the termination of pregnancy (whether criminal or accidental).

Reports include diagnosis and treatment, course of illness, results of bacteriological and physiological tests and results of post mortem where carried out. Various other papers are included, supplementing these reports. The reports are classified according to a coded series of causes of death. A summary report prepared by the Committee is also included.
