The records located at 19/8249-51 include correspondence relating to and copies of minutes of the Standing Committee on the Intellectually Handicapped; general correspondence includes that relating to the Parents and Citizens Association; correspondence with other departments and committees; correspondence relating to administrative and policy matters. Some of the latter material originated from the administration of D. Verco, Buggie's predecessor.The papers located at 3/1434 which are dated 1972-73 are:

This bundle comprises papers relating to the New Zealand Education System which was investigated by Mr Buggie, the Director General of Education.
The Papers relate to such topics as primary, secondary and tertiary education, decentralization and proposed itinerary of inspection. Reports from the New Zealand Education Boards Association (Inc.), Agenda from the Auckland Education Board and a report of the Sub-Committee established to consider Training College Selection are also included. - Report on Investigations into the Administration of Education in New Zealand

a) The New Zealand system and its implications for the administration of school education in New South Wales.

This report, released in May 1973, is concerned with the past administration of Education in New South Wales and with proposals for greater community involvement in future decisions affecting the development of education in New South Wales. Brief outlines are given of the following areas:

b) Major developments in the administration of education.
c) Education and the community.
d) Future developments in the administration of school education in New South Wales. - Miscellaneous Correspondence
This comprises correspondence relating to the provision of additional Consolidated Revenue funds and the priorities which each section of the Department of Education have established in event of increased finance.
