This volume contains various papers relating to expenditure, including a record of individual payments made on behalf of: Colonial Secretary, Surveyor General, Judiciary, Medical (divided into districts), Clerical (divided into various churches, Male and Female Orphan School, Native Institution, Public School Sydney, Roman Catholic School, Benevolent Asylum and Lunatic Asylum), Police Force, Departed Employees, Miscellaneous (Superintendent of Government Clocks, of Distilleries etc.), and Chief Engineer's Department.

Also included are returns of police wages, police being individually listed by district.
