Full description

These files relate to complaints received by the Board under the terms of the Anti-Discrimination Act, or under the following Commonwealth Acts: the Racial Discrimination Act (as amended) 1975, the Sex Discrimination Act, 1984, and the Human Rights Commission Act, 1981. The files contain the original letter of complaint, correspondence from respondents, submissions and internal memoranda.

Complaints which cannot be conciliated are forwarded to the Equal Opportunity Tribunal for action. Earlier files in this series, entitled Conciliation files, are at 12/4717-33.
