These records originated in the Office of the Counsellor for Equal Opportunity. This Office merged with the Board in 1982, and its functions were assumed by the Conciliation Office of the Board.These files contain the original complaint, any correspondence from the respondent, submissions, and internal memoranda. If the complaint was unable to be conciliated the Office of the Counsellor for Equal Opportunity referred the file to the Board. Since the merger of the Office and the Board complaints which are unable to be conciliated go from the Board's Conciliation Office to the Equal Opportunity Tribunal.
