These volumes were used as a record of court reporters assigned to the various courts, and of the subsequent transcription of the shorthand notebooks. They give: jurisdiction of court, name of judge, name of case, reporter, number of hours in court, name of typist, remarks and number of folios transcribed (by reporter and typist, in office and as overtime).

Some notebooks were not immediately transcribed, and, at the foot of each page, details of transcription of earlier cases are recorded giving: for copying - name of case, typist, pages (from, to), folios; for transcription - name of case, reporter, typist, folios transcribed (pages from, to, transcription by reporter and typist, in office and as overtime).

When a case has been transcribed at a later date, the name of the case is underlined, and in the remarks column is noted the forward page reference giving details of transcription.
