This volume gives very brief day to day notes on the behaviour and mental condition of prisoners suffering from mental illness. The volume also records entries for prisoners admitted to the Darlinghurst Gaol Observation Ward, 1 Jan 1912-29 Jun 1914 (following the closure of the Parramatta Observation Ward on 7 September 1911); and to the Observation Ward, State Penitentiary Long Bay, 1 Jul-15 Sep 1914 (following the closure of the Darlinghurst Observation Ward on 29 June 1914).
