This series contains staff list pay books for Parramatta Psychiatric Centre.

These registers record the following information: on the left page in the left column the employees name is recorded, staff names are arranged by administrative sections of the Hospital and then in order of seniority. In the columns to the right the following information is recorded: Date of (birth, appointment, last increment, next increment), Annual salary (nominal, actual, deduction of board and lodging, net), Salary for 28 days (actual less board and lodging, superannuation deductions, net), net fortnightly salary and record number. In later years, the number of dependents and addresses of employees are added.

On the right page are columns for any remarks e.g. resignation, transfers, etc. Under the heading 'Changes only in Gross Salary for Period 28 days' are 13 columns numbered 1-13 with the date of the 28 day period beginning and ending in the financial year.
