This series comprises registers detailing patients' leave of absence from hospital. The details recorded include patient number, the date on which patients' leave commences, the date of patients' admission to hospital, their name, when the leave was reported to the master, the period of leave, the date on which leave expires, the dates to which leave has been extended, the date of discharge, the date of return to hospital, and remarks. At the front of the volume, there are some government memoranda regarding the administration of patients on leave.
