This series contains the records of the Medical Appointments Advisory Committee and Credentials Committee for the Dubbo Base Hospital and Health Service.

The inaugural meeting of the Medical Appointments Advisory Committee was held on 13 July 1978. The inaugural meeting of the Credentials Committee was held on 19 October 1984. During 1991 and 1992 the Credentials Committee meetings were also named the Clinical Privileges meeting.

The purpose of the Committees were to discuss business and issues pertinent to the doctors and medical staff of the hospital and to scrutinise applications and recommend appointments for visiting rights of medical staff to the hospital.

The series also contains some earlier correspondence relating to visiting medical staff.
