Full description
Architectural drawings of the design for the clock mechanisms and clock faces for clock towers in Post Offices. The Post Offices are unidentified in the plans and it is not known whether they were ever constructed. Judging by the date of the plans in NRS-222191-1-7 to NRS-22219-1-1-11, it is possible they were designs for either Sydney, Tamworth or Dubbo Post Office.
The plans were included in an accession transferred from the Sydney Observatory. It is not known why these were in the Observatory's collection although it did have a connection with Angelo Tornaghi, a well known clock maker in the late nineteenth century, who made instruments for the Observatory.
