This series consists of council meeting business papers related to the minutes of the General or Ordinary meetings and the Special or Extraordinary meetings of the Leichhardt Council. (1)
Council Meeting business papers contain supporting documentation related to the minute books created under s.107 and 108 of the Municipalities Act of 1867 (Act No.12a, 1867) which was assented to on 23 December 1867, and subsequent legislation.
The Leichhardt Council meeting business papers were initially bound in volumes together with the minutes. In the earliest volumes these are called the 'Reports' and their title changes to 'Business papers' from 1966. This series includes only the business papers that come after April 1988 where the papers began to be filed separately to the minutes. (2)
