Deposited Deed Receipt Books are volumes that contain copies of the lodgement receipts for records permanently produced under the record series of Deposited Deeds. These receipts bear a Deposited Deed Packet number that is issued by the Registrar General on the lodgement of Deposited Deeds and payment of the lodgement fee.
Deposited Deed receipts are held in Deposited Deed Packet number order beginning with 1 and continue in numerical and chronological sequence. These receipts contain a list of the documents permanently produced being Old System land title Deeds and potentially other associated documents e.g. Statutory declarations, Abstract of Title i.e. searches outlining the history of transactions over the land in an Old System Deed.
Deposited Deed Receipt Books provide a quick and simple reference to what records were permanently produced as Deposited Deeds and can assist with searching the history of transactions affecting an Old System Title.
Volumes 1-11 are larger format volumes. Volumes 110-113 have not been transferred. All volumes have been disbound for digitisation but are still stored with their covers.
These records have been digitised by Spatial Services and originals are not to be issued.
