Full description
This series contains records relating to Witness Protection appeals made to the Ombudsman. The Ombudsman's Office holds the function of determining appeals from those people refused entry to, or removed from, the Witness Protection Program or appeals against the Police Commissioner's decision not to make an order under the Child Protection (Offenders Registration) Act.
As of 30 June 2017 the function was carried over to the new agency LECC - Law Enforcement Conduct Commission.
The records are arranged by file number order. Appeals were entered into Resolve which was the complaint management system used and a file number was automatically generated including C for Complaint/Appeal and the year of the complaint/appeal. This information was then automatically transferred across to HPRM and a physical file then created by Records staff. TRIM Context was rolled out in 2002 but prior to this only Resolve was used
