This series includes papers of the joint Board of Illawarra Electricity & Prospect Electricity which was formed during the amalgamation of Illawarra Electricity and Prospect Electricity in 1996 to form Metsouth Energy. On 1 Oct 1995 Transfer of assets from Prospect Electricity and Illawarra Electricity to Metsouth under the Ministers Order under ss. 6A(2) and 6B(5) Electricity Act. The agency Metsouth Energys renamed Integral Energy Australia on 24 May 1996.
This series was created to capture meetings of the Board. The board is responsible for governance and, ultimately, the performance of the company. The board gave direction and exercised judgment in setting the company’s strategy and objectives, and for overseeing their implementation. The board’s role was to govern the company rather than to manage it. The Chief Executive Officer was responsible to the board for the day-to-day management of the company.
