The Dairy Industry Artificial Breeding Advisory Board was set up to investigate matters relating to artificial stock breeding services for the beef and dairy industry in 1970. These matters included the supply of semen and the coordination of herd production improvement services. In 1979 cabinet decided to transfer artificial stock breeding services to the Department of Agriculture.
