This series comprises publications of Newcastle City Council's Electric Supply Department, also known as Newcastle Electricity Supply Council Administration (NESCA).

Included is a compilation of photocopied typescript copies of articles from the Newcastle Morning Herald dating from 21 December 1888 to 4 July 1911 relating to the introduction and development of electric power in Newcastle. There is also a copy of the Official Handbook of the City of Newcastle Electric Supply Department published in the mid-1930s.
