This series contains personnel history summary cards sourced from the Electricity Supply Department of the Newcastle City Council, predecessor to Shortland County Council.
The cards contain the following information: surname, other name, address, birth date, place, married or single, number of children/dependents, where previously employed, member of lodge, member of union, award, deductions from pay (H&A, Sup.); date, position, grade, salary, remarks. On reverse side: periods of absence, left service date, reason and record.
The cards are arranged alphabetically by surname.
