This series comprises the final report from the Royal Commission into the former Chelmsford Private Hospital and Mental Health Services in New South Wales. The Royal Commissioner the Honourable Mr Acting Justice J.P. Slattery presented the report to the Premier of New South Wales the Honourable Nick Greiner. The report titled Report of the Royal Commission into Deep Sleep Therapy contains 15 volumes and covers both terms stated in the Letters Patent. Term 1 of the report was presented to the Premier on 17 December 1990 and Term 2 was presented on 21 December 1990.
 

The report was published in the 15 volumes.

The report was stored in the Term 1 Report database in the Chelmsford Hospital Royal Commission Transcript Enquiry System, a free-text database managed by the STATUS software. Volumes that were not included in the database were volume 10 Psychometric Testing Appendices and volumes 14A and 14B Term 2 Appendices. Though the database was titled Term 1 Report it did contain volume 13 Term 2.
