Full description

The series consists of correspondence records for TransGrid. It includes legacy records from the Electricity Commission of NSW, which date from October 1980. These records include 'ministerials', which are responses to requests from the Minister's office, which are prepared by officers of the Department.

The series contains Ministerial memorandums and correspondence with other government departments, local government bodies and suppliers. Subjects include notifications about interruptions to electricity supply, crisis management briefings, correspondence on behalf of the Y2K Electricity Working Group and messaging statements on a variety of subjects.

The records consist of bundled A4 papers. They are arranged in files, in chronological order. Each file has a sequential number prefaced by the year it was registered. This identifier was assigned by the agency's records management system.
