Full description

This series consists of remnants of the correspondence file series of the Electricity Commission of New South Wales and Eraring Energy.  Records of the Electricity Commission of New South Wales were transferred to State-owned corporations along with related functions and power station infrastructure.

The files relate to specific cases such as the industrial potential for power station land and legal services correspondence relating to specific litigation.

The records are in printed file covers and have function and activity based titling.  There are various file numbering systems including annual single number and an alphanumeric classified number.  Groups of files have also been allocated a running number (e.g. 1256-000231 etc.) from the current recordkeeping system which does not appear on the files and has been included in the file title for the purposes of transfer.
