Details include name of teacher, religious denomination, marital status, salary, classes taught and dates, if trained, dates of appointment and resignation. Details given of each member of the Public School Board are name, religious denomination, occupation, dates of appointment and resignation, and office held. The area covered in this register stretches from Raymond Terrace in the south to Taree in the North. It also extends westward to Dungog.

The type of school is also given, for example, public, provisional and half-time.
