The indexes contain records of all leases registered and approved in a Land District. Each Land District Office kept their own register of specific leases and these indexes provide access to all leases by type for a district. Each entry contains information including lease type, number and date published in the Government Gazette. Indexes include Conditional Purchase, Perpetual, Homestead, Snow, and Special Leases. Land Districts covered are Armidale, Cooma, Dubbo, Forbes, Goulbourn, Moree and Orange.
The indexes were developed to provide alternate source of lease number to facilitate access to the plan information
