This series is a photograph album of Prince Alfred Hospital and was presented to Lady Carrington on her visit to the Hospital on 12 March 1886.

The Sydney Morning Herald describes the visit of Lord Carrington and Lady Carrington to the Prince Alfred Hospital on Saturday 12 March 1886 in some detail. In particular the article describes the presentation of the photograph album to Lady Carrington:
