Full description

The Primary Curriculum Committee advises the Board on strategic issues relating to primary education in NSW having regard to the functions of the Board. In this context the Committee considers links between formal school curriculum and early childhood and advises on promoting and ensuring K-12 continuity. More specifically, the committee: identifies strategic issues in primary education that require consideration by the Board; renders appropriate advice as requested by the Board on those issues; examines curriculum from the perspective of ensuring K to 12 continuity and advises the Board accordingly; reviews and advises the Board on the overall curriculum program and priorities in curriculum development; undertakes investigations as determined by the Board; performs any other functions as determined by the Board.

The VET Advisory Committee advises the Board on matters relating to vocational education and training (VET), including the development of VET courses as part of the HSC.
