To document the business activities of the Wollongong District Hospital when it was established. The minute books cover operational and management matters of the hospital including: Correspondence with various associations and businesses, accounting and financial transactions including debts and donations received, workers compensation accounts, patient fees for services provided, personnel issues including resignations and other movements of staff; industrial matters, community participation and the annual meeting of subscribers. The minutes are signed. From January 1973 the minutes expanded to include the business papers of the meetings.
