This series consists of agenda papers for the meetings of the Personnel Committee of the Mitchell College of Advanced Education.

The agendas (which also included any attachments for the meetings) are all typed and arranged in chronological order. The agendas outlined the format that the meetings followed and the matters that were to be addressed. This includes the attachments which gave members attending the meeting extra information pertaining to the topics for discussion on the agenda. Both the agendas and attachments were circulated prior to the meetings.

Members of the Personnel Committee included the Principal, Chairman of the Committee, Secretary, Personnel Officer, Bursar, Registrar Secretary, an Academic Representative and an Administrative Representative. The purpose of the Personnel Committee was to develop and review schemes and policies relating to the management of Academic, Administrative and General staff and personnel employed at the Mitchell College of Advanced Education. This included: Staff Development Schemes, Review of Appeals Procedure, Study Leave, Christmas Leave, Superannuation Schemes, Visiting Fellows and the Exchange Scheme, the establishment of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee, Academic Staff Association, Probationary Tenure and Appointments Review Procedures. The Personnel Committee was also responsible for reviewing recommendations from other committees and Associations within the College that relate to issues surrounding personnel.
