These registers contain a summary record of all Conditional Purchases applied for in the Land District of Armidale, kept by the Armidale Local Land Board.
An application for a Conditional Purchase would be submitted to the Crown Land Agent, together with a deposit. Upon receipt of such an application, the Agent would forward the information to their Local Land Board, where all the details of the application would be entered into these registers. The entry would be given the same register number as that appointed by the Crown Land Agent.
These registers record information such as the name and address of the purchaser or transferee, the date of application or transfer, the area and a description of the land, the deposit paid, any caveat or appeals details, whether the application was disallowed or confirmed, if it was forfeited or abandoned, an appraisement of improvements, and the issue date of Certificate of Fulfilment of Conditions.
