Full description

This register is a record of papers received by the Hay Land Board Office from various branches of the Department of Lands (described as "Head Office" in the register). The outside of the register is labelled, "Foreign Register, 1927"; the first page is titled, "Head Office papers received".

The volume is divided into three sections: Sales Branch, Leases Branch, and Miscellaneous Branches. Miscellaneous Branches included the Closer Settlement Branch, Roads Branch, Inspectors, Wire Netting Distribution, Conditional Sales, Miscellanous Leases, Other Land Board Offices, Occupation, Sales Transfer, Western Lands Board, Commons, and Soldiers.

Each page is divided into four columns which record the date of receipt, the papers' number allocated by the Branch, the papers' number allocated by the Land Board, and other notes.
