Full description

This series is the register of patients trust accounts at Rydalmere hospital. The series was created as an accounting record of payments into and from the trust accounts of the patients at the hospital.

The records contain information on the amount of money credited to and deducted from the accounts of patients: generally few details of expenditure are given ('to comforts'), but occasionally there is a mention of 'for clothes' etc. The sums involved are generally small, the balances being typically a few pounds.

There are sheets for a donations account which show donations by a range of individuals, clubs and organisations (e.g. Royal Australian Air Force Schofields, Parramatta High School and Metro Hockey Association) and the payments from this account indicate some of the activities at the hospital (e.g. 'to Stella Smith Orchestra for patient dance', 'S.V.Phillips - hire of bus', 'decorations for Christmas Tree' etc.

There is one volume containing male and female records for the period 1948-1955, one volume for male patients from 1957-1964 and a separate volume for female patients for 1958-1964.

The volumes are arranged alphabetically by patient then chronologically.
