Full description

These registers contain a summary record of all Annual Leases applied for in the Land District of Wentworth, kept by the Wentworth Crown Land Agent's Office, later the Wentworth Lands Office.

An application for an Annual Lease would be submitted to the local Crown Land Agent. Upon receipt of such an application, the Agent would enter the details into these registers. Each new application was numbered in consecutive order, beginning at one at the start of each calendar year.

These registers record information such as the number of the application, name and address of applicant, date, amount of rent deposit area applied for, description of the land, particulars of land in right of which lease is applied for, number of lease granted, and the folio number in the Lease Register.
