These files, which comprise correspondence to and from the Office of the Emergency Controller of Food Supplies during the period of the general coal strike, mainly relate to the shortage of transportation and the decline in the availability of fodder for stock as well as plant supplies and foodstuffs in general. A copy of the Emergency Powers Act No.19, 1949, and a map of New South Wales showing shires and municipalities are also included
